Rihanna for River Island

Rihanna for River Island debuted during London Fashion Week, her line will be available in stores March 5th! Some pieces are limited edition with only 200 copies existing. The singer revealed many sheer, denim and cropped pieces as well as longer slinkier dresses, better for evening wear. The colours are quite muted however pops of neon yellow and florals appear reminding you of spring, and perhaps the singers personality! The designer said; 'The theme throughout the entire collection was easy, laid back chick, flirty, not very conservative, but I think everyone can wear this line.' These are most of my favourite looks from the show. 

Topshop's 21st Century Debutante

Topshops latest lookbooks are up on their website. My favourite looks come from '21st Century Debutante.' Cut out boots, (obsessed) leather, lace and crops.

Elle Ferguson

Elle Ferguson is one half of the force behind the fashion blog 'They All Hate Us.' Ferguson, a visual merchandising manager blogs with Tash Shefton, a buyer and head of womenswear. Together they run a successful fashion blog and were photographed for Vogue last year. A fellow lover of a shorts and boots combo, Elle's style is my current obsession. Follow her for her daily outfits on instagram here. 

Yet Another Zara Post

So, February's Zara Lookbook has entered my inbox and I have to share some of my favourite looks! The first look is from their TRF collection. The 'ethnic patterned shorts,' are muted but interesting, a basic item that could be worn casually, as shown, or dressed up with a statement shirt or pop of colour, and I think I could make room for another pair of ankle boots, especially with metal details like these! The rest of the images are from the Womens collection, my favourite pieces are the simple black heels, structured white skirt and dark emerald crop top, enjoy.

Blogger Style

The return to University is not pretty, my dissertation and projects are haunting me in my sleep! However the return to Wales does mean that I'm able to snap more street style images of my favourite fashion blogger Parris.

AllSaints Spring 2013

Spring 2013 Collections have not long been out, here are a few looks from AllSaints 2013 Lookbook that I'm super excited about. The collection features a colour palette of blacks, greys, silvers and whites. It has some gorgeous key pieces including a Hells-Angel worthy leather jacket, a sleek leather pencil skirt (see my obsessive pencil skirt post) and peep toe boots. The looks are quite simple and easy to achieve, I have my eye on re-creating the last women's look, however for winter I'll be covering the legs up! Also included are some of my favourite men - I mean Menswear looks from the collection.

I recently bought a bargain leather midi dress in the River Island sale, I can throw jumpers and tops over it to create a pencil skirt and make it more causal, however I am dying to get my hands on an actual pencil skirt, especially a leather one. Karen Inderbitzen Editorial

In this editorial Karen Inderbitzen shoots Rag Simons s/s 2013 menswear collection, for Black Magazine. I loved reading the credits to find a female wearing menswear. The poses aren’t too stretched or far-fetched for a fashion shoot which is what I prefer, they mirror surroundings and engage in the environment and buildings, even just standing straight creates a line which runs parallel to elements within the image. The clothes are very structured, with sharp lines and mostly block colours, this helps them to stand out against the concrete environment.
