Zara Home. Fall - Winter 13

 So Zara's new home catalogue is out and it is stunning. View it here.  The location is a beautiful country house with large windows looking out onto rolling hills. The layout and order of the images really flows, with separate exterior shots placed next to interior images of similar hues. The break of content allows the viewer to appreciate the entirety of the house, it's exterior, location and character which are reflected back in the different rooms and their styling. Interior Plants

I recently saw a post on design sponge showing some amazing interiors with indoor plants, see here. It might sound like a bit of a naff subject to some but what better way to shrug off the snow and get into the spring feel. They can add a bit of privacy, colour and feel to a room, especially planted in old tins, cups and clashing pots. All images are found and not my own.

I've been slacking on the blog posts whilst I've been enjoying not having a dissertation to write, but I'm getting myself back into blogging! Whilst researching my latest architecture & interior locations I've found some amazing places! Here are some..

Alexander James Interiors

I am passionate about architecture and am a keen interiors enthusiast also. Last year I assisted Alexander James, a lifestyle and interiors photographer, for several weeks on a number of amazing shoots in London. Alex has shot for World of Interiors, Country Life and two other main publications that I assisted him with - The Sunday Times and Living etc. I thoroughly enjoyed assisting Alex, I learnt a lot about photographing interiors, lighting, set-up and how meticulous you have to be! 'Move that 1cm to the left, no back 3cm, no back the other way!' was the usual talk of the day! There were long days, hundreds of angles to photograph from but it was SO worth it seeing them in the magazine a weeks later, plus keeping the owners dogs and cats in and out of images was fun! Below are some image spreads that I assisted on - shot by Alex for The Times Magazine. These images came from Vinny Lee's blog, the editor of the publication.
